Morgan Sorne
Morgan Sorne was a person that I wasn't expecting. I first saw him playing music with his project SORNE at Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was there to see TV on the Radio, who are a fantastic band. I'm usually entertained by the opening band, but rarely have I been awed the way I was by SORNE. By the end of their set, I was in a trance just absorbing the music. Letting it fill the little empty places in my soul. I immediately went to the merch table and bought the CD, some stickers and whatever else they had. The CD's artwork intrigued me. It was a little bit Native American, a little bit Francis Bacon, and a little bit Jean Michel Basquiat. Upon closer inspection, the artwork was by the man himself. Morgan is an artist in many ways; musician, poet, painter, sculptor, performance, and the list goes on. I follow him on Facebook because he's interesting and living a life that a free spirit should live. Here is some of his great artwork...and a video. More here > www.sorne.com
